Dragon Boat Festival
The Dragon Boat Festival ,also called Duanwu Festival is a traditional holiday that commemorates the life and death of the famous Chinese scholar Qu Yuan (Chu Yuan). The festival occurs on the fifth day of the fifth month on the Chinese lunisolar calendar.
Dragon Boat Festival is a public holiday. It is a day off for the general population, and schools and most businesses are closed.
